Who we help
Personal tax returns.
You do not have to run a business to need a tax return. We help you understand what to report and prepare it properly, with a dedicated account manager who explains the next steps.

Who this is for.
This is for individuals who need Self Assessment or help checking whether they must file. We look at your income, any disposals and what HMRC has asked you to do.
- HMRC has asked you to submit a return
- Untaxed rental, savings or dividend income
- A property or share sale with Capital Gains to report
- The High Income Child Benefit Charge may apply
- Company director income that needs reporting
- A return already filed that needs correcting

What you need to know.
When a personal return is needed
Employment through PAYE does not always settle every tax responsibility. Untaxed income, reportable gains or the High Income Child Benefit Charge can mean further reporting is needed. Being a company director does not automatically require a return, but your income and any notice from HMRC matter.
Registering and notices from HMRC
If you need to file for the first time, you normally need to tell HMRC by 5 October after the relevant tax year ends. If HMRC has sent you a notice to file, do not ignore it. If you believe a return is not needed, ask HMRC to withdraw the notice and obtain confirmation.
What we need from you
We explain the documents needed for your circumstances. These may include your P60, benefits information, bank interest and dividend details, rental records and purchase or sale documents for assets. Clear records help us prepare and review your return.
Correcting a return
You can normally amend a Self Assessment return within 12 months of its filing deadline. After that, the route depends on the correction, and you may need to write to HMRC or make a separate claim. Tell us what changed so we can help you choose the right next step.
