Who we help
Accountants for landlords.
Rental income brings its own records, expenses and reporting responsibilities. Your dedicated account manager helps you keep them in order, whether you let one property or manage a portfolio.

Who this is for.
This is for people who own rental property personally and want clear help with their tax and records. We look at how you own and use each property before deciding what needs to be reported.
- One buy-to-let property
- A portfolio of rental properties
- Holiday lets, or income from letting a room in your home
- Property owned jointly with a partner or someone else
- Selling a rental property

What you need to know.
Expenses, repairs and improvements
Allowable running costs can reduce taxable rental profit. Repairs and improvements are treated differently: an improvement is not normally a rental expense, although it may be relevant when calculating a gain on sale. Keep invoices so we can check each item.
Mortgage interest and ownership
For individual landlords letting residential property, mortgage interest relief is generally given as a basic-rate tax credit rather than a deduction from rental income. Owning property personally or through a limited company has different tax and legal implications. We talk through your circumstances rather than treating a company as the default.
Selling a UK residential property
When Capital Gains Tax is due on a UK residential property sale, UK residents usually need to report the disposal and pay the tax within 60 days of completion. Residence status and the property's use can affect the rules, so speak to us before you sell.
